Pancakes with caramel

Tortitas con caramelo

American pancakes are a classic, they always succeed at breakfast or snacks. We love them with caramel syrup and butter on top, but there are many options to accompany them such as jam, ice cream, or chocolate.

A recipe that cannot be missing from your cookbook.

  • 200g flour
  • 200ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Butter (for greasing)
  • Caramel syrup
  1. In a large bowl, sift the flour together with the yeast, salt and sugar, mix.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg, add the milk and vanilla.
  3. Add the milk mixture little by little, stirring with a whisk until you get a fine mixture without lumps.
  4. In our 20cm Titan frying pan . Put a little butter, heat and add two tablespoons of dough.
  5. Let it cook, once bubbles start to appear, turn around and let it cook on the other side.
  6. We take it out on a plate and repeat the operation with all the dough.
  7. We serve with a little butter on top and caramel syrup.
