How many times have we eaten this dish in days of being with family. And the beef round is not only easy to cook but also yields
a lot and if you have leftovers it can be used very well, even to make sandwiches.
In a quick cooker like today's, the PRESTO from MONIX®, in 40 minutes you have your recipe ready. Easy, fast, clean and for many.
I think it's a great idea perfect for the days to come.
Ingredients:
1-1.5 kg of round beef
A splash of extra virgin olive oil
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
3 carrots
250 g shiitake mushrooms
80 ml white wine
300-350 ml of broth
Optional: a sprig of rosemary or thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Step by Step:
- Buy your round of beef and ask your butcher to put the mesh on the round so that the meat keeps its shape. You will see that it will shrink a little when cooking. Season with salt and pepper on all sides and set aside.
- Chop the vegetables: cut the onion, chop the garlic cloves and peel and slice the carrots. Clean the mushrooms and cut into pieces. Booking.
- Heat your pressure cooker and pour a splash of oil into the base. Add the meat and brown on all sides to seal it. Once golden, remove and reserve.
- In that same oil, sauté the vegetables, add the onion and cook for a few minutes until it is transparent, then add the carrot, crushed garlic and salt and
cook for about 5 more minutes. - Put the meat in the pot with the juices it has released on the plate and pour in the wine. Let the alcohol evaporate.
- Add the meat broth, if you use spices, add it and bring to a boil. Put the lid on your MONIX® QUICK pressure cooker and cook for 40 minutes after it comes to pressure. Once the time is reached, decompress naturally - which only lowers the pressure - remove the meat and let it cool before removing the mesh and cutting into slices.
- It is presented cut into slices and accompanied by fried potatoes, mashed potatoes or rice and sauced with mushrooms and carrots.
