Profiteroles con dulce de leche

Let's sweeten these bitter days in our homes with a scrumptious dessert and what better day than Father's Day.

We present these profiteroles with dulce de leche made with choux dough, a basic dough for many preparations.

The profiteroles They are an incredible snack, you can serve them alone or fill them with whatever whatever you want or like… Cream, chocolate, pastry cream, today we are with craving and our version is with dulce de leche. It can't be more appetizing, from time to time an overdose of sweet feels wonderful.

Ingredients:

4 eggs

100ml of water

140ml milk

90g butter

a pinch of salt

1 tablespoon of sugar

160g flour

Dulce de leche for fill out

icing sugar for decorate

Preparation

  1. In our Chef saucepan we put the milk, water and butter. Heat until it starts to boil, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt and sugar.
  3. Once the liquids are boiling, add the flour mixture all at once and without stopping stirring, integrate everything until we get a dough that separates from the walls of our saucepan.
  4. Remove from the heat and add the eggs one at a time. Do not add the next until the previous one is completely mixed.
  5. Let the dough rest for at least half an hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180º.
  7. Put the dough in a pastry bag with a wide mouth and place portions on a tray lined with parchment paper. Separate the dough because it will double in volume.
  8. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden.
  9. Take out and let cool.
  10. Fill with dulce de leche and decorate with icing sugar.
