Potatoes are the perfect garnish for any meat or fish dish. Besides, who doesn't like potatoes? Of course, much better if they are baked, fried we also love them but we avoid the use of so much oil when frying them and roasted in the oven they are luxurious.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg. small potatoes
- Half an onion
- 6-7 cloves of garlic
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- fresh thyme
- Extra virgin olive oil
- We preheat the oven to 200º.
- We wash our potatoes well, clean with a brush to remove any remains of dirt. Cut into thick slices, season with salt and pepper and set aside.
- We put three or four tablespoons of olive oil in our 28cm Granite or Mineral frying pan. We put it on the fire and heat it up.
- Add the finely chopped onion, the whole unpeeled garlic and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the potatoes and sauté for two or three minutes so that they absorb some of the oil, this will make them more juicy and crispy.
- We remove from the heat, spread some sprigs of fresh thyme over our potatoes and put them in the oven.
- Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until they are crispy and golden.
- We take out and serve.
