Hake with clams

Who only uses frying pans and omelettes? Nothing of that. Let's take advantage of it and use them for other simple recipes. If you have a frying pan like this Eco Nature one from Monix®, you can prepare endless recipes, but I'm going to give you a demonstration. Today we are going to cook hake with clams in a moment and in a pan. Go for it.

3-4 slices of hake
350 g of clams
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
¾ tablespoon wheat flour
120 ml white wine
250 ml fish broth or water
Salt to taste
Chopped parsley
Extra virgin olive oil


  1. Prepare the vegetables, chop the onion and garlic. Soak the clams in cold salted water for half an hour and add salt to the hake slices on both sides.
  2. Prepare your Monix® Eco Nature frying pan, pour a good splash of oil and heat it up. Pour the chopped onion with the garlic and sauté.
  3. When your onion is golden brown, it is time to add the flour and cook it for a couple of minutes to toast it. Add the wine and let it evaporate.
  4. Now it's time to add the broth and cook it for 5 minutes. Place the fish slices in the sauce, the clams and bring to a boil. Cover with a lid until the clams open and cook for about 8 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and ready to serve.
