Flan de natillas

On these festive days of celebration, what better than a good dessert for your guests... you will succeed!

  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 1 liter of milk (separate 750ml and 250ml)
  • 140 g of sugar
  • 100ml cream
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 or 2 anise stars

Preparation:

  1. Pass the cornstarch through a sieve and mix it with 250 ml. of milk in a large bowl until completely dissolved and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, heat the milk, sugar, cinnamon, anise and cloves over medium heat until it starts to boil. Once it is boiling, remove it from the heat and let it sit for about 6 minutes so that the cinnamon and cloves release their aroma and flavor.
  3. After letting it infuse, remove the cinnamon, anise and cloves.
  4. Then, return it to medium-low heat, add the cornstarch and milk mixture through a strainer. From now on, start stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or spatula without stopping. Keep stirring so that no lumps come out, it doesn't stick to the bottom, or it burns. You should beat for about 20 minutes.
  5. Pour the mixture into the flan mold and chill in the refrigerator.
