Calamares con guisantes y gambas

Squid with peas is a healthy dish and a simple way to combine fish and vegetables. You can also add some shrimp to complete this delicious spoon dish, in the market we can find frozen ones of good quality and size.

A stew to enjoy any day of the week as a single dish since it is very complete, because stews are not always a source of calories if they are rich in protein and low in fat.

Ingredients: 4 people
  • 700 g of medium squid cut into rings
  • 300 g of medium peeled shrimp
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Virgin olive oil
  • 1 dessert spoon of ñora paste
  • 2 dessert spoons of tomato concentrate
  • 1 dessert spoon of La Vera paprika
  • Chopped parsley
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g of peas
  • 1 small glass of stale wine

  1. Chop the onion and garlic very finely and fry in the 26 cm Mineral frying pan with a little virgin olive oil over medium heat until well poached.
  2. Add the tomato concentrate and the ñora paste, mix and continue with the sauce to add the Vera paprika and the squid.
  3. Sauté the whole thing so that the flavors concentrate, approximately 12 minutes. When it has a dark color, add the chopped parsley and also the glass of rancid wine, let it reduce until it evaporates.
  4. Add the shrimp, peas and a glass of water, just enough to almost cover them. Adjust the salt and pepper and let the stew finish cooking for about 10 minutes.
