Cuba style rice

Arroz a la cubana

This dish is quite a classic, right? And although the origin is really not very clear, Cuban-style rice has been with us since we were children, a very complete dish in terms of ingredients and of course delicious, one of the favorites of the little ones.

Ingredients: (for two people)
  • 150g round rice
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • Homemade fried tomato
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Parsley to decorate

  1. In our 20cm Optima pot . We bring plenty of water to boil, once it reaches a boil we add the rice, salt and cook (we follow the manufacturer's instructions).
  2. While we cook the rice it is the turn of the eggs, we can make them fried or grilled as you like. To do this, we put the olive oil in our 20cm Unique frying pan and fry the eggs. We reserve.
  3. In the same pan and removing the previous oil, we put the bananas cut in half and grill them. Two minutes or so on each side and they will be ready.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, drain it with the help of a large strainer.
  5. We serve with our previously heated tomato sauce, the fried egg and the banana. We decorate with fresh chopped parsley.
  6. A delight that we cannot resist.
