Today's recipe is inspired by the Middle East, and shakshuka is very similar to Manchego ratatouille but with cumin and spicy paprika. Today we gave it a twist and added feta cheese to make it cheesy and give it a new touch. Do you dare to try it? It is delicious as a garnish for white beans or rice.
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 red pepper
- 400g of chopped tomato
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- feta cheese
- 1/2 Avocado
- A pinch of chili
- EVOO and salt
Steps
- We cut the onion, garlic and pepper
- In the pan, with a little EVOO, sauté the onion with the garlic. When they start to eat some color, we add the pepper.
- Add the spices and sauté for a few minutes.
- We add the tomato and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes until it is cooked.
- To finish, you can add an egg and let it cook or a little feta-style cheese and avocado to give it a different touch.
