Chicken meat is a very versatile food and can be cooked with an infinite number of ingredients. Furthermore, since it is a type of white meat with a low calorie content, we can enjoy it with any meal.
This way of cooking chicken breasts is very simple and full of flavor, combining the subtle acidity of lemon, the sweetness of honey and the aroma of thyme.
It can be prepared in a short time with a spectacular result and accompanied by a side of white rice, the sauce will take center stage.
Ingredients: 4 people- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Juice of 1⁄2 lemon, save a few slices
- Salt and ground pepper
- Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 minced garlic
- 1⁄2 cup chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tsp of mild mustard
- thyme sprigs
- Using a mallet, flatten the thickest part of the breasts so that they are more uniform and cook better. Season both sides of the breasts with salt and pepper and sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Heat a little oil in the Unica frying pan over medium heat, add the breasts and sear on both sides until golden brown, approximately 5-6 minutes per side.
- Reserve the chicken on a plate and add the butter to the pan, let it melt and remove from the heat. Add the chopped garlic and thyme sprigs so that the butter takes on flavor and the garlic and thyme do not burn.
- Put the pan back on the heat and add the broth, mustard and honey.
- Mix the ingredients and reduce the sauce for a few minutes. Return the chicken to the pan and cook for 5 more minutes, sauce the breasts.
- Serve with white rice.
