Christmas is the time of year where nougats are the stars, today we bring you a very special one. This pistachio and blueberry nougat is without a doubt one of our favorites.
A nougat that is a little different from the more traditional ones, providing a touch of color and delicious flavor to our family after-dinner meals. We hope you enjoy it.
Ingredients:- 200g pistachios
- 80g dried blueberries
- 150g honey
- 150g sugar
- 1 egg white
- We put 22cm Óptima in our saucepan . sugar and honey, with the help of a wooden spoon we stir to mix it slowly over medium heat.
- Once it starts to boil, cook for 5-10 minutes.
- We whip the white until we obtain peaks, it does not need to be very whipped.
- We slowly add it to our saucepan, which we have removed from the heat and move to integrate it so that it does not curdle.
- We put it back on the heat, lower it to minimum, and continue stirring until we obtain a caramelized mixture. We remove from the heat.
- Add the pistachios, blueberries and mix.
- We pour it into a nougat mold or a square tray lined with baking paper and leave it for 4-5 hours until it cools.
- We unmold, cut and serve.
