French toast


If there is any traditional sweet that cannot be missed during Holy Week, it is torrijas. One of our favorite sweets and there are also several ways to make them. Today we present them to you with milk and honey, a mixture that is undoubtedly absolutely delicious.

  • 1 loaf of day-old bread
  • 1 l of milk
  • 2-3 eggs
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 6-7 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of water

  1. We heat the milk together with the cinnamon stick in our 16cm Mineral saucepan . Let it heat up for a few minutes without boiling and turn off the heat. Let it cold down.
  2. We cut the bread into slices.
  3. We fill a container with the milk infused with cinnamon and another with the beaten eggs.
  4. We coat the bread in the milk and then in the egg.
  5. We heat the olive oil in our 24cm Mineral frying pan . and once hot we fry our torrijas until they turn golden brown.
  6. We take out and place on a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
  7. We heat the honey with the water so that the syrup is lighter. You can do it in the microwave or in the 16cm Mineral saucepan. to the fire.
  8. We pour the torrijas with the syrup and enjoy them.
