Let's celebrate the Father's Day as he deserves it best, we are going to surprise him with a breakfast of the ones you won't forget with this coffee cake.

a cake fluffy, with the intense flavor of coffee and a coverage that makes it sublime.


For the cake

180g butter

150g sugar

3 eggs

180g flour

1 tablespoon of chemical yeast

50ml of coffee

For the glaze

250ml cream 35% fat matter

250g mascarpone

150g icing sugar


  1. We preheat the oven to 200º.
  2. We prepare coffee in our Cream coffee maker and reserve.
  3. We grease two 18cm molds (you can use a larger one)
  4. We put the creamed butter and sugar in a bowl, beat with electric whisks until the mixture is fluffy.
  5. We add the eggs 1 at a time, we will not add the next one until it is completely integrated into the mixture.
  6. We add the flour along with the yeast, mix.
  7. Finally we add the coffee, stir until integrated.
  8. We distribute the mixture into the two molds. We bake at 180º, 40-45 minutes. The time will depend on the oven and how big the mold you use is. Click before taking out to check that it is ready.
  9. Remove and let cool on a rack.
  10. While the cake is making, we will make the frosting or topping. For this, we put all the ingredients in a bowl and beat with electric whisks until it has a firm consistency. We put it in the refrigerator.
  11. Once cold, unmold and cut in half if you use a larger mold, if you use an 18 you can cut in three layers.
  12. We assemble alternating layers of cake and frosting.
  13. We cover our cake with the glaze and decorate with coffee beans and instant coffee.
