Raspberry sauce or coulis

Salsa o coulis de frambuesa

We often make savory or sweet recipes and we thought, how good a sauce would be with this. Today We bring you one of those sauces or how they are also usually called coulis.

A sauce of raspberries that go equally well with a roast meat as with a salad or some delicious waffles, why not?

Difficulty: Low

Servings: 4-6

Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

350g raspberries (fresh or frozen)

125g sugar

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1 teaspoon of orange liqueur (or whatever you like the most)

Elaboration

  1. In our Cooper saucepan we put the lemon juice and sugar, heat over medium heat until the sugar crystals dissolve, it is important to stir continuously.
  2. Add the raspberries and grated ginger, stir and let it cook for a few minutes.
  3. If you want a thin sauce you will have to pass through the Chinese to remove the seeds, or if you prefer you can leave them to give a thicker texture.
  4. Add the liquor, stir and let cool.
  5. Ready to accompany the recipe that we like the most.

Tips:

  • You can make the sauce with various red fruits, fresh or frozen.
  • Once cool, keep it in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. It can be frozen without problem.
  • Accompanied with ice cream it is pure temptation.
